Resources - some of my recommendations
NB. I am not affiliated with any of the following
Knowledge & Science
When it comes to finding the facts and an unbiased point of view I always start and end with Dr Rhonda Patrick. She is an expert in longevity and optimal health with a brain the size of a planet and I never get any sense of ego in her work. You can listen to one of her many excellent podcasts and interviews with other, major scientists and biohackers or find her at her home site:
Food & Diet
When clients are struggling to understand diet and how the food we eat affects our bodies, minds and environment, I recommend they read the books of the following:
Mark Hyman
Kelly Leveque
Michael Pollan
Yoga in London
If you’re in London and want to attend a yoga class, my favourite studio was Yogarise Covent Garden, which has since closed but does have sites in South London.
Testing
I got my DNA and Microbiome tested with Atlas Biomed, which I found very helpful. I have attended one of their seminars and they are a passionate and knowledgable bunch who have a lot of online courses and free content.
Organisation
Get Set Go Bags are industry standard set and kit bags for make up artists made by one of the industry’s leading makeup artists, Tanya Noor. They are owned and used by most of the industry’s leading talent in theatre and film…and me! I use the mini and organiser for all my beauty stuff when travelling. They are clear so are easy to navigate, have a magical, ‘Tardis’ like quality when it comes to stuffing in as much as possible and appear to be utterly indistructable. I also use them to keep basic kit in when visiting clients.
